About Rosalie

My portfolio contains a collection of published feature stories in which I explore topics such as current events, animal welfare, modern love and relationships.  I enjoy feature writing because it allows me to tell stories that reveal the passion and determination in the hearts of people.
As editor for my college newspaper, I received several awards and scholarships for my creative feature writing and investigative cover stories. My report “Campus Stalking – Students at Risk” received the Paradise Valley Community College 2011 Award in Journalism. Currently, I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Film and Media Studies at Arizona State University.  I also have an Occupational Certificate of Journalism from Paradise Valley Community College.

As a freelance writer, my stories on animal welfare have appeared in publications such as, Tails Pet magazine and AZGREEN magazine.

Current Projects:

Writing Reviews:

“Match.Dog was dexterous and funny, and managed to cultivate new humor from familiar territory. The list format was easily digestible and a real pleasure to read. Conversely, Love at First Bite reveals your skill with dialogue and timing in a scene. You have a natural style that can’t be taught.”  Justin Gonzalez, Nonfiction Editor,
Lux Undergraduate Creative Review

“Rosalie has a passion for journalism and creative writing, for lifelong learning and self-discovery, and for connection with others through her creative voice. She brings a unique eye and high level of energy to all her projects. I am certain that Rosalie will continue to make a powerful impact on her readers, both through print media and though emerging technologies.” Marianne Roccaforte, Ph.D, Faculty, Counseling & Personal Development

Rosalie was the Lynx magazine editor for PVCC. Additionally, Rosalie has served as features editor for the Puma Press. In her tenure with the press, she has distinguished herself with feature reports on sexual addiction and stalking. Both were cover stories for Lynx magazine. Rosalie also demonstrates her strong instincts for how to write a personality profile. She loves feature writing and brings that passion to the dynamics of the student staff.”  –Judy Galbraith, Faculty Chair and Puma Press Adviser
